Having now entered February, it’d be fair to say that the spring season is nearly on the horizon. While some snow might still be settling in certain areas of the country, here in Wolverhampton we’re already thinking about the fun activities we’re aching to take part in. When we’re not busy providing local homeowners with windows, doors, and conservatories, you’ll likely find us doing one of these within the local community.

1. Indoor climbing and caving centre

Located along Paget Road, we’re big fans of the Wolf Mountain multi-activity centre. Upon visiting, patrons can undertake a wide variety of adventurous activities like climbing, indoor climbing, and abseiling. The activity centre offers visitors to ‘try before they buy’ in a sense, providing taster sessions for families who don’t know which activity is best for them. Our personal choice would be the towering indoor climbing wall which really helps separate the men from the boys.

2. Owl and Falconry centre

Owl at an owl centre

If you’re someone who enjoys learning more about the winged beasts we’re lucky to share our world with, Wolverhampton’s Owl and Falconry centre is the perfect place to find our more about bird wildlife. You’ll get to hold your choice of owls, falcons, and eagles, as well as experience professional demonstrations to see the feats these animals can accomplish. If you have a weekend free, we’d highly recommend paying them a visit on Bridgnorth Road.

3. Stunt driving experience day

Fancy yourself to be Wolverhampton’s answer to Vin Diesel or Nicky Lauda? Stunt Drive UK might be your chance to prove it, being a local stunt car experience day organised by driving professionals. Their work has featured on many TV shows, they specialise in letting you experience the thrill of car-based stunts from the movies. Stunt Drive UK offer packages throughout the year, so get booking now.

4. Canalside walk

Lake with birds and a brick house

A lovely little picturesque spot that’s perfect for a family picnic or afternoon of self-discovery, why not take a stroll down to Bratch Locks? Home to a historic bridge and pumping station, the locks themselves were originally built as a staircase but have since become a thing natural beauty. The sound of natural flowing water is sure to ease all your troubles away, same as the sight of local wildlife should you be lucky enough to see some on your visit.

5. Pop into DW Windows to say hello!

DW Windows | Double Glazing Showroom in West Midlands

Last but not least, how could we mention places to visit without extending a hearty invite to our very own window and doors showroom. Here’s we’re you’ll find windows Wolverhampton homeowners won’t be able to help but love, as well as doors that make entering in and out of properties welcoming and memorable. We have a dedicated team of showroom staff to keep you informed, so why not pop on down and discuss your improvement ambitions over a cuppa?
